The latest eyebrow raising pairing finds Heidi Montag, most famous for her role in MTV’s reality series The Hills, hiring Debra Antney, the mother of rapper Waka Flocka Flame, to be her new manager. The 24 year-old Montag revealed her Hip-Hop power move to RadarOnline. Montag mentioned that her husband, fellow reality series alum Spencer Pratt, was going into the studio with a couple of rappers, which sparked her interest in seeking Antney’s services.
“Spencer is going into the studio with Wooh Da Kid and Waka Flocka Flame, and I requested that his mother Deb Antney meet with me and manage me, because she is just fabulous,” Montag said.
Montag could use some sound management on the music end. She has previously stated that she spent $2 million dollars on a music career of her own that has yet to pop off. Her debut album,Superficial, was three years in the making before its release on January 11, 2011 to little fanfare.Superficial sold less than 1,000 copies its first week.
Antney has had better luck in the music biz. The founder and CEO of the Atlanta based Mizay Entertainment, Antney managed Nicki Minaj early on in the rising rap starlet’s career and, after a brief separation, once again manages Gucci Mane. However, her split with Minaj was not on the best of terms. Nevertheless, Montag seems to have utmost faith in Antney’s abilities.
“I need her to guide me in the right direction and I know amazing things will happen because she really knows what she is doing,” she told RadarOnline.

Bernard Schwartz A.K.A. Tony Curtis June 3, 1925 – September 29, 2010, age 85, cardiac arrest
Hunky, Hungarian-American Jew Tony Curtis played both comedic and dramatic roles in his sixty-plus years as an actor, but a WWII veteran and prolific surrealist artist. Before acting, he led a hard life growing up in the Bronx, NY. His parents were so poor, at one point he and his younger brother were put in an orphanage. His mother and older brother were both diagnosed with schizophrenia, and his brother was institutionalized. His younger brother was hit by a vehicle and died. He joined a small-time gang when he was eleven but a concerned neighbor sent him away to the Boy Scouts of America, which put him on the right track. After the bombing of Pearl Harbor, he joined the Navy. He chose to serve on a submarine, where he met life-long friend, Larry Storch, with whom he worked in films like The Prince Who Was A Thief, Who Was That Lady?, The Rat Race, 40 Pounds of Trouble, Captain Newman, M.D., and Sex and the Single Girl. He made many controversial moves during his career. In 1951, the studio he was contracted to did not want him to marry his first wife, actress Janet Leigh, so they eloped. Their marriage lasted until 1962 and produced two daughters, actresses Kelly and Jamie Lee Curtis. He took the role of the sidekick in Spartacus, which he was advised against, but still maintained a strong career. He also chose to work with Sidney Poitier in The Defiant Ones and insisted on giving Poitier equal billing, which ruffled a lot of feathers at the time. He also had an affair with Marilyn Monroe, with whom he starred in one of his most memorable roles in Some Like It Hot. They both had schizophrenic mothers and spent time in an orphanage , and he claimed in his autobiography that she miscarried his child. They were both married at the time and didn’t want to damage their careers,, but he claimed he always loved her. He was married a total of six times, and once stated, “I wouldn’t be seen dead with a woman old enough to be my wife.”
He was married to his second wife, German actress Christine Kaufmann, who was 17 at the time, from 1963 to 1968 and had two more daughters, German actresses Allegra and Alexandra Curtis. He was also married to Leslie Allen from 1968 to 1982. They had two sons. Tragically, their son, Nicolas died of a drug overdose in 1994, at the age of 23. He was married to Andria Savio from 1983 to 1992, Lisa Deutsch from 1993 to 1994 and Jill Vandenberg Curtis (42 years younger than he) from 1998 until his death. He also had a well-publicised battle with cocaine and spent time at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, CA in the 1980′s, where he finally kicked the addiction. A few years ago he was quoted as saying that when he died, he wanted his ashes spread over Las Vegas, NV.
Gloria Stuart July 4, 1910 – September 26, 2010, age 100, respiratory failure
Gloria Stuart was a popular actress in the 1930′s. While married to her first husband, Blair Gordon Newell from 1930-1934, the couple lived in Carmel, CA. She spent time creating art and hanging out with famous artists such as Ansel Adams. In 1934, she married screenwriter Arthur Sheekman, who she was married to until his death in 1978. When his health was deteriorating from Alzheimer’s disease in the mid-’70′s, she attempted a comeback. She had some television appearances and movie roles, but she got an academy award nod, becoming the oldest nominee for best supporting actress for her role as the elderly “Rose” in the 1997 mega hit Titanic. She received the Ralph Morgan award from the Screen Actor’s Guild in July of 2010, honoring her career.
In an earlier interview with GAS on June 23, 2010, Melissa London had stated that she feared for her safety and that of her family. She stated that Palm Springs, CA was not a safe place and people need to know. In fact checking the story, Palm Springs police had disputed this statement and insisted that Palm Springs was actually a very safe place. Now, evidence to the contrary has recently surfaced. In a recent story on local news station KESQ’s website, they have released a story about how the police are threatening to reveal to the public how unsafe Palm Springs actually is. City counsel members are concerned that releasing this information to the public will hurt local businesses (To be fair, they’ve been hit hard by the economy and can’t afford to lose ANY business.). Does this mean that Melissa London was telling the truth in her early interview with GAS? Is it possible that she and her family really weren’t safe? That Jeremy London was abducted? That she later lied about lying before? That of the story are true? What about residents and visitors of Palm Springs? What don’t they know? What should they know?
Rock icon, Meat Loaf, is currently touring with his daughter, Pearl Aday, on his Hang Cool Teddy Bear tour. The new album title, Hang Cool Teddy Bear, comes from a line in the film, Beyond the Valley of the Dolls. His new album is a collaboration with music producer Rob Cavallo, who has produced legendary bands from Fleetwood Mac to Green Day, and is a concept album stemming from a series of short stories by producer/screenwriter Kilian Kerwin. It’s the story of a soldier who is lying on the ground, paralyzed, and believes he’s going to die. Instead of his life to that point flashing before his eyes (as most people say they see in near-death experiences), he sees his future. Meat Loaf used plenty of musical muscle on the album, enlisting quite a few big names in music and even Hollywood. In fact, he duets with actor Jack Black on “Like a Rose” and has Hugh Laurie (The popular House actor is a classically trained pianist.) playing on his album!
GAS was at Meat Loaf’s concert in Palm Springs, CA at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino on Saturday, September 4, 2010, and the “sexty-two” year-old rocked the house with old favorites and songs from the new album. One could see how much he put into his songs. He was shaking from the exertion of giving his all to the audience. It was quite a show! Catch the tour in your town!
