RumorFix has confirmed that rapper Waka Flocka Flame was caught in a storm of gunfire in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Waka’s publicist, Kali Bowyer, tells RumorFix that Waka was getting a stereo installed in his tour bus when four shots were fired. Waka was not injured.

“Security followed approriate protocol and returned fire,” says Bowyer, who revealed that the rapper travels with more than a dozen security guards. The gunman was shot by the guards.

“Spencer is going into the studio with Waka Flocka Flame, and I requested that his mother Deb Antney meet with me and manage me, because she is just fabulous,” Montag said.

Antney runs the Atlanta-based Mizay Entertainment that boasts hot acts such as Nicki Minaj, Gucci Mane and of course, Waka Flocka.
“I need her to guide me in the right direction and I know amazing things will happen because she really knows what she is doing,” Montag said.

Homecoming Queen to Another Drunk Chick–GAS Interviews Julie Brown
Julie Brown began her career when she was discovered by comedy legend Lily Tomlin and cast in a small role in the film, The Incredible Shrinking Woman. She is probably best known for hilarious songs like “The Homecoming Queen’s Got a Gun,” ” ‘Cause I’m a Blonde,” and “I Like ‘Em Big and Stupid,” roles in films like, Earth Girls Are Easy, and Clueless , and her Madonna:Truth or Dare mockumentary, Medusa: Dare to be Truthful. This is only a snapshot, however, of her long and multi-faceted career. The Van Nuys, California native had her own show, Just Say Julie, on MTV back in 1989, and has been an actress, comedienne, singer, composer, writer, director, producer, voice-over artist, and mother.
September 2010, Julie releases her latest album, Smell the Glamour which includes “Another Drunk Chick” (parody of Ke$ha’s “Tik Tok“) and “ Big Clown Pants”(parody of Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance“), two of twelve awesome parody singles from her new album, are currently available for purchase on iTunes.
GAS had the great pleasure of talking to Julie recently about her new album, what she’s been up to, and what’s on the horizon.
When asked whether “Another Drunk Chick” was written strictly as a response to Ke$ha’s “Tik Tok” or whether it was a social statement, Julie replied:
It was more of a social commentary. Because the idea that it’s just a celebration of going out getting high, drunk,. I mean just a crazy thing, right? And Lady Gaga has a song like that, too, called, “Just Dance,”… And I do love Lady Gaga, I really do… And I was like, “This is what kids are listening to. Getting drunk and going out. I have to do something with this, ‘cause it‘s just so wrong…” I hate that this message is getting out there.Yet at the same time I get that this song is really catchy and really fun. So, I think that’s why I… was making fun of it. It’s very involving… You find yourself humming that song, yet the idea of it is just so… bad. I had to do something about it.
Being a mother of a teenage boy certainly influenced her in writing this song, but deeper than that, she grew up around alcoholism and has very strong distaste for the whole idea of glorifying drunkeness and getting high.
Among the other songs on her album is the single, “Big Clown Pants” (a parody of Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance“) Julie says that she loves Lady Gaga and was inspired to write the song, much like her other great inspiration, Madonna, inspired her to write the mockumentary, Medusa: Dare To Be Truthful. Many of the parody songs from Medusa (a parody of “Vogue” et. al.) will be included in her new album, as they were never released on an album previously. Also included on her new album is an updated version of “‘Cause I’m a Blonde,” which was also never released. Fans of Julie Brown have been asking her to release these songs on an album for years, and now they’ll finally get everything they’ve hoped for and more with the release of Smell the Glamour.
In addition to the other songs on the album, Julie is re-releasing another favorite, “I Wanna Be Gay.” When she left the repressive attitude of Catholic school and went out into the world as an adult, she made friends in the gay community and was awed by the way they were just free with who and what they were.
The idea that being gay is everybody’s built that way for it, you know… the song is… expressing just how they feel without any restriction… Gay people… That’s how they really feel. They’re not conforming… So I think all these people in some ways are envious of that idea of just being who you are without conforming… The song’s sort of a celebration of that… Being gay is fantastic… Even though I’m not.
Miss Brown really hasn’t spent much time in the spotlight for many years, and GAS found the reason for her absence was motherhood. Julie is a divorced, single mother, raising her son alone. She told GAS that motherhood came first in her life and her career second. Julie has had small roles in film and television, and has spent time doing some writing. In fact, she was one of the writers for the incredibly popular Disney Channel’s hit show, Camp Rock, where she also played one of the camp’s counselors. While she’s not working on Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, she’s been busy with other projects, such as writing jokes for the show Melissa and Joey, starring Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence, which airs on ABC Family on Tuesday nights. Right now, she’s directing the video for “Another Drunk Chick.” She also told GAS that she has two screenplays she’s finishing up — one comedy and one drama — that she plans to begin work on when her son leaves for college. She plans to direct and act more when she’s not responsible for his daily life anymore.
“He’s really almost 17, so really… two years left of high school to be around… and then I’m just gonna kick some A**… That’s my plan.”

Billy Idol’s band on COPS?!
On Wednesday night, Billy Morrison (guitarist), Jeremy Colson (drummer), and Steve Vacarro (band security), members of Billy Idol’s touring band, Camp Freddy, were detained by police in Santa Barbara outside of a CVS pharmacy. Seems the folks at CVS became suspicious of spiky haired men loitering in their store and called the cops. The band walked out of the store and were immediately accosted by the local PD, who were (ironically) filming and episode of COPS! Fortunately, the mix-up was cleared up and the band ended up chatting with officers about their concert and tour, but one might wonder if this incident will actually appear on an episode of COPS…

In a GAS exclusive, one on one interview with Melissa London, wife of “alleged kidnapped victim & force crack-smoke out” Jeremy London, at her home in Palm Springs, CA.Melissa begs for not only the media to help catch the other two suspects, but desperately wants to plea to the general public as well, in hopes of the average Joe to jump on the bandwagon as well!
According to Melissa, she called the police “they didn’t take anything seriously”, Melissa states that she didn’t even initially believe her husband story, but would not elaborate on what changed her mind.
Melissa found out very easily where one of the suspects lived, with help of a hired PI and states the police are not taking the situation seriously are all.
Melissa states that she & Jeremy will be doing Larry King? In 3 weeks? Melissa also claims to have signed an “exclusivity contract” with the Larry King show, yet continue to elaborate on the fact she’s dropping her own dime to not only Radar Online, but other celeb news outlets.
Melissa Cunningham-London admits exclusively to GAS, that she is the actual source for none other than the web tabloid Radar Online;
“don’t quote me on this“… say “a neighbor said“… “that’s what Radar Online does” …
London remains adamant that the story her husband telling is true, (now that is) she believes they are in danger and that there are two others at large. Within the interview Melissa constantly refers to alleged kidnapper Brandon Ray Adams as a “ child molester “, according to reports Adams was charged with Child Molestation and later had the charge reduced. Since we were not there we have NO idea as to the validity or surrounding circumstances as to the situation.
London tells GAS exclusively after returning from her 25-30 minutes cab ride, that they have hired a private investigator, the PI has found name and address of the one suspect. Melissa continues to go into detail about how the gun man was not Brandon Ray Adams, but according to Melissa London the alleged gun man was another male who is known round da hood as “Lil Len“, The Invisible Negro from nearby Desert Hot Springs ,California. I’m sorry but am I being punked? Or just this story just keeps on getting stranger by the day?
London also claims to be so frightened that she has hired a body guard , as she fears for her life, yet when GAS spoke with Melissa she had just returned from a cab ride alone? With NO bodyguard in sight!
On to yet another chapter in the never ending London saga, even with the two not currently living together, Melisa claims they are in the midst of reconciliation. Melissa says she is trying to work things out with Jeremy, she believes in her vows. Currently Melissa London shares a rental with other roommates, without Jeremy. A neighbor claims, “They are splitting the $2700 per month rent”.
The two are currently separated, London claims that neither one wants a divorce, Shannon Price (Oops, my bad) meant Melissa shares “til death due us part and for better or for worse “.
Melissa London goes on to tell GAS that a private lawyer has paid Jeremy’s fines off, and that his personal legal issue has been resolved.

Palm Springs Police Press Log states they were called to 600th block of West Racquet Club in Palm Spring, at 6:57am pacific time on a domestic violence call, no arrest were made, a warning was given to all parties.According to sources, Jeremy & Melissa London had a bit of a tiff last night. “Jeremy dropped dime last night that Melissa was kicking and hitting him so he slept in the car.” , shares one insider.
Perhaps they will cross charge with domestic violence?
Police were called to the residence in Palm Springs were the London’s are “vaca-ing” on Jeremy yesterday “because the other tenants in the house were complaining that Jeremy and Melissa had been up all night screaming and yelling.” says source close to the London’s.
Source told me that police didn’t make any arrests but said the next time Jeremy is caught at the house; they are arresting him for trespassing.

Adam’s has had quite a brush with law enforcement in his past. Adam‘s record shows, he had warrants for two previous cases, on probation for a battery charge in 2008, and he was also charged with violating his probation.
The original charge was molesting a child under 18. Adam’s has a stay-away order against him from two girls stemming from the case. The second case was shoplifting, where he was charged and released on bail, but did not show up for his next hearing. That was the second warrant.

Prescription drug addiction – Are doctors responsible?
Are doctors or patients most responsible for prescription drug addiction?
Each year in the United States, approximately seven million people will use prescription drugs for non-medical purposes, and of that number, nearly 10% will obtain and use these drugs illegally. In a 1998 study, 1.6 million people reported using prescription drugs non-medically at least once. In 2006, 7.0 million people, or 2.8% of the U.S. population abused one or more prescription medications. Misuse of prescription medications has become a serious health problem in the U.S., leading heroin and cocaine as the cause of death from overdose in 2008.
The most commonly abused prescription drugs are:
- Painkillers like OxyContin and Vicodin
- Tranquilizers or depressants like Valium and Xanax
- Stimulants like Ritalin.
Addiction to prescription drugs usually follows some illness or injury for which the drug is prescribed. The patient, once addicted, finds himself in need of the drug long after the original illness has subsided, and can suffer severe withdrawal pain and discomfort when it is not available. Abusers often take cocktails of two or more medications, or drugs in combination with alcohol, sometimes with fatal consequences as in the case of actor Heath Ledger.
Individuals addicted to prescription drugs, like those addicted to illegal substances, will go to any lengths to obtain them. When they can’t get them from friends or relatives, or convince their doctor to write a prescription, they will lie, shop around for compliant doctors, you name it – even fake medical conditions, just for a fix.
Part of the problem of prescription drugs in the U.S. is our obsession with ‘quick’ fixes to any and all problems, including medical problems. When we can’t sleep, suffer from any kind of pain, depression, or other malady, we want an instant chemical solution. It has been jokingly said that it easier to get a Valium tablet from a stranger on the street these days than a cigarette. Among the younger set (late teens and young adults), getting ready to go out means making sure you have your iPhone, iPod, car keys, credit card, and pill case with the ‘quick’ fixes of your choice.
Unfortunately, doctors are among the most common suppliers of prescription drugs that are abused. According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), 70% of Americans see their primary care physician at least once every two years. These doctors are in the best position to identify and curb prescription dependence. Our fee-for-service health insurance system, however, fosters a type of assembly line medical care that discourages the type of analysis that would enable a doctor to detect anomalies that might indicate drug dependence or abuse. In addition, most physicians are focused on eliminating pain or other symptoms, and drugs are often over prescribed and there is little follow up of patient use of drugs. In the case of people who fake symptoms to get drugs, doctors often find it easier to prescribe than fight.
Doctors, therefore, must assume a significant portion of the blame for the epidemic of prescription drug abuse in this country. As previously mentioned, in 2006, 2.8% of the population reported non-medical use of prescription drugs. Painkillers accounted for 5.2% or abuse and tranquilizers 1.8%. While much of this is obtained illegally, much is obtained through prescriptions written by the family physician. In the final analysis, though, it is the individual who must shoulder the lion’s share of the responsibility for drug abuse, whether it is of prescription medicines or illegal narcotics. Doctors need to do a better job of monitoring patient use of drugs, but the individual is the one who puts the pill on his or her own tongue, and is the one who has to take action to correct the problem.
