Montana Fishburne joins the ranks of celebrity status in the way of addiction. Montana, daughter of actor LaurenceLarry” Fishburne has checked herself into ONE80CENETER treatment facility earlier this week in an attempt to get her life together, G.A.S. has leaned exclusively.

According to a source close to Fishburne, Montana has checked into the inpatient facility for anger management, sex addiction and drug abuse.

ONE80CENTER’s location is none other than the home of former actress, and two time alumni of the Betty Ford Center Elizabeth Taylor. “She (Elizabeth Taylor) ingested up to 50 drugs a day, which Taylor obtained from a variety of doctors” , says Dr. Chester Bowyer who  treated Liz during her stint at the Betty Ford Center.

Elizabeth Taylor’s lavish former home in the hills of Benedict Canyon. offers 5 star accommodations to the addicted newbies that enter the front door, rite down to the Egyptian cotton sheets.

According to the center’s web site “The private rooms at ONE80CENTER provide our clients with the luxuries found in resorts and hotels. From the highest thread count linens, plush towels and quality toiletries in the private bathrooms to the authentic craftsmanship of the wood furniture, the relaxing rooms foster a peaceful environment. By creating the feel of “a home away from home,” the positive mindset to begin the journey of recovery is strengthened..

While Montana was attempting to achieve star status, with her XXX rated porn tape, the wanna be Kardashian found herself battling more than the criminal charges against her.

Fishburne had earlier received some unwanted attention, when she was arrested for prostitution. She reportedly cut a deal with the DA, dropping the solicitation and prostitution charges in exchange for her pleading no contest to misdemeanor criminal trespass and entering a work-alternative program. In August, 2010, Fishburne was charged by the L.A. City Attorney’s Office with simple battery and false imprisonment stemming from an incident in which she allegedly broke into the victim’s home, forcing the woman into a bathroom and allegedly assaulting her.

Exclusive Interview Marty Brenner On Lindsay Lohan

Marty Brenner, addiction specialist speaks exclusively to G.A.S about Lindsay Lohan’s latest relapse. Marty who is no stranger to the personal realm of addiction, himself with over 20 years sobriety and still going strong, and  has devoted his life and career to helping the addict who still suffers. Not long ago Brenner was on team Lohan as a professional, now he is there personally. as a friend and one who dearly cares for Lindsay’s recovery.

“THE KEY IS THE RELAPSE DIDN’T HAVE TO HAPPEN THIS GIRL IS IN COMPLETE DENIAL THIS DID NOT HAVE TO HAPPEN, WHEN YOU GO BACK TO THE SAME PEOPLE AND  THE SAME PLACE, LINDSAY’S MIND SET IS THAT SHE CAN GET AWAY WITH ANYTHING, EVERY THING WAS CUT IN HALF FOR HER; JAIL TIME, TREATMENT” …Marty Brenner

With Lindsay finding herself yet again in the midst of tabloid controversy, media fighting for the inside scoop into her upcoming violation of probation court hearing. Have they forgotten that addition kills? With complete disregard for not only her privacy, but G.A.S. also feels her safety!

Lindsay Lohan, was famed child Disney star and now adult drug addict. Why the masses quickly reach for ratings and sales at newsstands, everyone seems to be missing the big point here!

Celebrities such as Marylin Monroe, Anna Nicole Smith, John BelushiChris FarleyJudy GarlandJimi HendrixMichael JacksonJanis Joplin, the list just keeps going and going, who have died as a direct result of drug addiction. This is a disease people. Not just a headline, these are real people with real issues. Maybe just maybe if the paps and the media backed off and gave this girl a break she’d have a fighting chance here! When Britney Spears flipped out, everyone finally took a step back and said “hey this girl has some real problems.”

“THE COURTS IN A WAY ARE TREATING IT AS IF SHE DOESN’T HAVE A PROBLEM”…Marty Brenner

“TREATMENT SHOULD HAVE BEEN 90 DAYS; DETOX PROFESSIONAL THERAPY TO WOK ON THE UNDERLING ISSUES, ANGER, CHILDHOOD, SHE OR ANYBODY WITH AN ADDICTION SITUATION THAT CONCERNS ALCOHOL & DRUGS HAD TO BE SCARY AND A SHOCK INTO HER LIFE STYLE. LINDSY NEEDS TO BE BACK INTO A TREATMENT FACILITY, SHE NEEDS TIME TO GET BACK INTO THE REAL WORLD, TREATMENT SHOULD HAVE BEEN 90 DAYS, THE COURT FAILED, GIVE HER TIME TO TRANSFER INTO THE REAL WORLD WITH A CLEAR MIND, EVERY ONE AROUND HER THINKS SHE’S OKAY AND SHE IS NOT” …Marty Brenner

“THIS IS A REPETITION OF HER BEHAVIOR, NOTHING HAS CHANGED  WITH OUT CHANGE THIS IS WHAT WILL HAPPEN.” …Marty Brenner

Drug addiction is a chronic brain disease. Addicts crave more and more drug, as they are captivated by its effects. The structure and function of the brain are changed with repeated use, and over time the act of using drugs is no longer voluntary and no longer for pleasure. Addicts self-medicate to feel “good” or feel “normal” They experience intense craving for the drug and even after treatment, relapse is possible.

Think of drug addiction like asthma, heart disease or diabetes. It is not uncommon for drug addicts to relapse, just as it is not uncommon for sufferers of other chronic disease to relapse. However, additional treatment will help bring back control.

“ I HAD LUNCH THE OTHER DAY WITH MICHEAL LOHAN, HE WAS HAPPY SHE WAS GOING TO ALCOHOL CLASSES, BUT JUST GOING NOT PARTICIPATING WILL CAUSE RELAPSE “ …Marty Brenner

Each year in the United States, approximately seven million people will use prescription drugs for non-medical purposes, and of that number, nearly 10% will obtain and use these drugs illegally.  In a 1998 study, 1.6 million people reported using prescription drugs non-medically at least once.  In 2006, 7.0 million people, or 2.8% of the U.S. population abused one or more prescription medications.

Misuse of prescription medications has become a serious health problem in the U.S., leading heroin and cocaine as the cause of death from overdose in 2008.

The most commonly abused prescription drugs are:

  1. Painkillers like OxyContin and Vicodin
  2. Tranquilizers or depressants like Valium and Xanax
  3. Stimulants like Ritalin

Addiction to prescription drugs usually follows some illness or injury for which the drug is prescribed.  The patient, once addicted, finds himself in need of the drug long after the original illness has subsided, and can suffer severe withdrawal pain and discomfort when it is not available.  Abusers often take cocktails of two or more medications, or drugs in combination with alcohol, sometimes with fatal consequences as in the case of actor Heath Ledger.

“GOING BACK TO THE SAME PEOPLE AND PLACES IS A SURE PLAN FOR RELAPSE. SHE REALLY NEEDS TO TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY SHE HAS HER ENTIRE LIFE AHEAD OF HER, SHE NEEDS A GOOD SUPPORT TEAM WHO WILL NOT TAKE HER B**L SHIT”…Marty Brenner

What’s next for Lindsay? Only time will tell. Here at G.A.S hope that she is given a chance, everyone deserves a chance at sobriety. The ball is in her court at this point, she has some serious footwork to do if she is going to make it.

“SHE NEEDS A MINIMUM 90 DAY TREATMENT AND INDIVIDUAL THERAPY, SOBER LIVING, TRANSITIONAL LIVING. SHE NEEDS TO LIVE IN A NORMAL ENVIRONMENTAL SETTING. SHE TRIED THAT AT ROBERT SHAPIRO’S PLACE, BUT SHE BROKE ALL THE RULES.” …Marty Brenner

Melissa London — A Media Fact-Checking Fiasco!

Seems that even “reliable” news sources can’t get things right.

1. Melissa London is not on Celebrity Rehab with her husband, Jeremy London.

2. Melissa London did not suffer a brain hemmorage.

Seems funny that a gossip site has to correct a major news source!

Exclusive: Marty Brenner Talks Rx Addiction

Your email:

Prescription drug addiction – Are doctors responsible?

Are doctors or patients most responsible for prescription drug addiction?
Each year in the United States, approximately seven million people will use prescription drugs for non-medical purposes, and of that number, nearly 10% will obtain and use these drugs illegally. In a 1998 study, 1.6 million people reported using prescription drugs non-medically at least once. In 2006, 7.0 million people, or 2.8% of the U.S. population abused one or more prescription medications. Misuse of prescription medications has become a serious health problem in the U.S., leading heroin and cocaine as the cause of death from overdose in 2008.

The most commonly abused prescription drugs are:

- Painkillers like OxyContin and Vicodin
- Tranquilizers or depressants like Valium and Xanax
- Stimulants like Ritalin.

Individuals addicted to prescription drugs, like those addicted to illegal substances, will go to any lengths to obtain them. When they can’t get them from friends or relatives, or convince their doctor to write a prescription, they will lie, shop around for compliant doctors, you name it – even fake medical conditions, just for a fix.

Part of the problem of prescription drugs in the U.S. is our obsession with ‘quick’ fixes to any and all problems, including medical problems. When we can’t sleep, suffer from any kind of pain, depression, or other malady, we want an instant chemical solution. It has been jokingly said that it easier to get a Valium tablet from a stranger on the street these days than a cigarette. Among the younger set (late teens and young adults), getting ready to go out means making sure you have your iPhone, iPod, car keys, credit card, and pill case with the ‘quick’ fixes of your choice.

Unfortunately, doctors are among the most common suppliers of prescription drugs that are abused. According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), 70% of Americans see their primary care physician at least once every two years. These doctors are in the best position to identify and curb prescription dependence. Our fee-for-service health insurance system, however, fosters a type of assembly line medical care that discourages the type of analysis that would enable a doctor to detect anomalies that might indicate drug dependence or abuse. In addition, most physicians are focused on eliminating pain or other symptoms, and drugs are often over prescribed and there is little follow up of patient use of drugs. In the case of people who fake symptoms to get drugs, doctors often find it easier to prescribe than fight.

Doctors, therefore, must assume a significant portion of the blame for the epidemic of prescription drug abuse in this country. As previously mentioned, in 2006, 2.8% of the population reported non-medical use of prescription drugs. Painkillers accounted for 5.2% or abuse and tranquilizers 1.8%. While much of this is obtained illegally, much is obtained through prescriptions written by the family physician. In the final analysis, though, it is the individual who must shoulder the lion’s share of the responsibility for drug abuse, whether it is of prescription medicines or illegal narcotics. Doctors need to do a better job of monitoring patient use of drugs, but the individual is the one who puts the pill on his or her own tongue, and is the one who has to take action to correct the problem.

“I work with Individuals challenged with various addictions including but not limited to – substance abuse, alcohol, and anger. I am a certified chemical dependency counselor and anger management facilitator. If you or a family member or someone who you know is in trouble with substance abuse or anger, we can work together to determine what the best course of action to take on behalf of you and that individual who is seeking help.” , says Brenner.

“I can help, call me when you need to talk: 213-500-8865″ Marty adds, and for more information about Marty Brenner and his practice visit his web site at www.talktomartyb.com.
